FitSM Foundation Online
FitSM Foundation certification provides the basics of service management with a focus on
the most important processes to ensure smooth IT operations. FitSM was designed to be
compatible with the ISO/IEC 20000-1 standard (requirements for a service management
system) and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Although the FitSM process model, requirements, recommended activities and role model
are designed to be lightweight, FitSM can also be used as a first step toward a “full” ITSM
implementation, for example, by applying ITIL good practices and/or aiming for compliance
with ISO/IEC 20000-1.
FitSM professional training is certified by APMG and ICO, both leaders in standardisation
and certification.

● Basic IT service management concepts and terms (based on FitSM-0)
● Purpose and structure of FitSM standards and their relationship to other standards
● Process framework underlying FitSM
● Requirements defined in FitSM-1
Duration
Total 8 hours (+ optional 30 minute exam).
Prerequisites
No specific prior training is required.
Training material
The training material is in English and will be delivered to the participants in advance.
Certification
● 30 minutes, at the end of the training
● Closed book, i.e. no aids are allowed
● 20 multiple choice questions (four possible answers for each question, one correct answer per question)
● At least 65% correct answers (13 of 20) are required to pass the examination
Terms and conditions
If you can not participate in this course, you can send someone else instead of you. If cancellation is done less than 14 days before the course starts, we will charge 50% of the price. In case of no show without any cancellation, we will charge the whole price. An additional 100 EUR will be charged for the delivery of the course material to the student in case of cancellation. Cancellation fee will also be charged in case of illness.
